The school offers an integrated thematic program of learning through exploration, discovery, and play that fully prepares the child for elementary school. We know that early years are the most important for a child’s brain development. Our Nursery, KG1, and KG2 programs are designed to enhance brain development in a multitude of age-appropriate and multi-sensory ways.
The elementary classes at the NES covers cycle I and cycle II of the lebanese program, which spans grades 1-6. In cycle I the focus is on teaching the three basic subjects: English, Arabic and math . In addition, students are exposed to french as a third language, basic principles of science and social studies, art, physical education, and Christian studies. In addition they have access to computers during their computer hour.
The Intermediate classes at NES covers grades 7-9, ending with the completion of Brevet exams. The school follows the lebanese curriculum in preparation for the Brevet exams. Subjects covered are Arabic, English, French (as a third language), Math, History, Geography, Physical Education, and Christian Studies. In these grades students take physics, chemistry, and biology. Students supplement their learning with visits to the library, laboratory, and computer facilities.
